Laptop Mounts

Now that you have a rugged, safe, and ergonomical docking station for your laptop, you can find the right mounting solution to secure your laptop in your vehicle. PMT manufactures mounts for various police, EMS, fire, utility, and recreational vehicles. And as always with PMT you can have us build a specialized mount designed just for you. Precision Mounting Technologies differs from many competitors by incorporating positive locking mechanisms into our mounts instead of weak thumbscrews and friction style locks that simply wear out over time. Our mounts have been safety tested to the highest standard, and have the best safety record in the business.

Tube Slide (Mouse Trap)

Our Tube Slide or Mouse Trap is a marvel of adjust-ability and ease of use. The basic unit is just 1-1/4" thick and 9" long, so it fits nicely under most laptops, and does not protrude into the operator area. Precision machined from solid aluminum, the unit remains solid and does not rattle or shake when driving down the harshest of roads. When needed the unit can be extended 6" and swiveled left or right. Safety aspects built in include a latching system that will not allow the unit to extend in the event of an accident, yet will allow the unit to automatically retract so that it minimizes the chance of injury. Another great safety feature is the swivel limit adjustment that allows the end user to select their desired amount of swing. This is great for limiting how far users can position their laptops into say an air bag zone, or too close to the steering wheel and other operator controls. There is also adjustments for both slide tension, and swivel/swing tension as well. The Tube slide comes standard with many of Sightline consoles. Multiple tilt mechanism options including low profile wedge block for a constant 10 degree tilt, or single axis adjustable tilt (off camber tilt when swiveled), and 2 piece wedge tilt.

Boom Arm

The Boom Arm is a very usefull mount for many situations. Utilizes an extension arm on a pivot that has positive locks for over 214 degrees of rotation. Can be bolted directly to bulkheads, pre-existing consoles, etc. using it's 5"x5" base. Use it with our optional wall bracket, or combine a wall bracket and a sandwich plate and clamp it on fork lift roll cages etc. Will work with all PMT docking stations. 45 Degree Slide

The "45 Degree Slide" is a common mount for most of todays public service vehicles that do not have a factory centre console installed. Mounts to our vehicle specific rack system brackets featuring no-drill, underseat brackets. Works with any PMT docking station. Allows the laptop to be positioned in three vertical positions: fully raised for full operator comfort, middle position for use or storage, and fully lowered for storage completely out of the airbay deployment zone. Side L Mount

The versatile Side Mount bolts easily to existing consoles or vertical surfaces in your vehicle, and provides for a stable and adjustable mount for your docking station and laptop. The L-shaped design allows it to install out of the way of passenger compartment space yet the built in adjustments make it very easy to use and position your laptop exactly where you need it. Available in two different configurations: inward (over console, pictured at left), and outward (beside console). Also available in larger size, to be used in conjunction with our Boom Arm which would replace the standard top arm.

3 Leg Extendoflex Mount

Our 3 leg pedestal mount is our most versatile mount. It can be configured to go into almost any vehicle, in almost endless configurations. Because of the three leg - ball and socket design, our pedestal is absolutley rock solid once installed into the vehicle. While use of this mount requires drilling into the floor of the vehicle, for many users this is not an issue once they see the benefits and versatility of this mount. OEM Console Mount

Current models for: Ford Escape, Explorer, Expedition and Edge. Hyundai Sante Fe model also now available. Requires no drilling or modifying of the vehicle, and can be removed without leaving a mark. Extremely stable, and retains access to all vehicle controls. Can handle any of PMT's docking stations.

Seat Mount
